Stinako releases single/video from forthcoming Ghostina album – “Täyden kuun aikaan”.

Ghostina arrives via Soliti on the 21st October 2022.

The second taste from Stinako’s new album Ghostina arrives with “Täyden kuun aikaan”. A string heavy slice of chamber pop which Stina Koistinen (Stinako)  describes as; ““Täyden kuun aikaan” is a song about the hardship of letting go and yet succeeding in it and bringing down self made walls. Full moon is a magical time, when such miracles can come about.”

Listen to “Täyden kuun aikaan.”

The Tiina Palm directed music video for “Täyden kuun aikaan” reflects the balancing between excitement and disappointment, joy and sorrow, happiness and depression, light and shadow, birth and death, that all life is made of. Stina’s own movement plays a vast role in the video’s imagery as it has inspired the director Tiina Palm greatly.

Ghostina is the follow up to Stinako’s much loved debut album Ikuisuus, which established Stinako in her own right and was nominated for the prestigious Nordic Music Prize. Of the themes of Ghostina Koistinen tells us: “Ghostina” is a phantom living in the ruins of my memories. The album is a collection of songs grown out of those ruins, coming to life as they’re sung and played by my beautiful band which consists of Tapio Viitasaari, Aili Järvelä, Mila Laine and myself. Memories are always partly true and partly invented by our minds. Ghostina is an alias of Stinako.”

“It wouldn’t be too extravagant to describe it as an unassuming pop banger if you can imagine such a thing. Stina suggests ‘a melancholic party anthem’ ….But what happens next is astonishing. It’s a full-on dance track, with the main thumping synth-generated theme supported by what are nigh on trap beats…and violins! And from around the 2:45 mark it explodes, setting your goose bumps on fire.” Nordic Music Central

“… as a composition it would be well suited to rock the dance floor of an indie disco.” Soundi
