We’re excited to welcome Manalishies to the Soliti family! First single ‘Blood Song’ out today.
If you’re already acquainted with the music of Paltsa-Kai Salama and Black Lizard, Manalishies should be of interest to you. This new group was founded by Paltsa-Kai, but the vision of the music is expanded on by the musicians Iiro Tulkki and Antti Sauli. Currently the band are working on their first EP, which Soliti will be releasing later this year.
Paltsa-Kai Salama gives more detail on the project: “This band started as my solo project but evolved into a group effort. Musically we are somewhere in the psychedelic blues and country territory, ‘Blood Song’ leaning heavily on psychedelia and improvisation.”
The first taste of Manalishies music comes in the form of ‘Blood Song’ – a 10 minutes long blast of head fuckery.
Paltsa-Kai Salama: Vocals, Guitar
Iiro Tulkki: Keyboards, Percussion
Antti Sauli: Bass

Initial reaction to ‘Blood Song’
“…as the name suggests “Blood Song” is a 10 minute, chaotic descent into the unknown, a head-rushing heart-stopping drive in the dark. Get those cans on and turn it up to 11. Did someone say “head fuckery”?” SWIT
“ One Quart Magazine
“This track slowly opens with a brooding bit, like a dark psychedelic wave that the band is just waiting to unleash. However, they never fully jump off that cliff, instead pulling back to allow for a somewhat steady release of vocals; it gives off the affect of early BRMC (if anyone remembers them), bringing in a combination of subtle noise and a classic rock n’ roll vibe.” Austin Town Hall
Manalishies are playing at the Soliti Slaughterhouse in August 18th at Teurastamo, Helsinki.
