The second single from forthcoming long play Visions of Future – out 30th October.
Last month Stinako (Stina Koistinen) released the first single and title track from her forthcoming third album “Visions of Future”. The single established key contributors for the album with the mini big band Njet Njet 9 and the Sibelius Upper Secondary School Girls’ Choir. On new single “I Have A Friend” – a more intimate sound world evolves with Njet Njet 9 subtly underscoring Stina’s warm and inviting vocal before a left turn creates a powerful crescendo of voice and instruments.
Listen to “I Have A Friend”
““I Have A Friend” started out as a song about friendship. But as I kept on writing it, I began to list different kinds of luck I have in my life — friendship, family, solitude, and a safe haven. This song poured out of me, with very basic major chords, very unusual for a melancholic such as myself.” Stina reveals. “I Have A Friend” is released on the 2nd of October.

Stinako’s upcoming album “Visions Of Future” is an ambitious collaborative project featuring the powerful horn section of the mini big band Njet Njet 9 alongside the delicate yet potent sound of the Sibelius High School girls’ choir. The work is built upon songs composed and written by Stina Koistinen, arranged into a diverse and gritty musical tapestry in collaboration with Ville Kyttälä, the founder of Njet Njet 9. The album reaches toward the future — not as a dystopian warning (okay, maybe a bit), but as a hopeful vision. “Visions Of Future” paints a picture of a world where people choose kindness and respect: for the planet, for other species, and for one another. It is a musical statement and an invitation to imagine what might be possible if empathy and responsibility guided our choices

“Koistinen’s voice remains its emotional center as the arrangement transforms private reflection into something more expansive and luminous.” R Mas Podcast
“The idea of imagining the future allows the song to be interpreted as a space of anticipation, where possibilities, changes, and expectations take centre stage.” Freim TV
“Stina Koistinen’s voice drives an exceptional indie pop arrangement.” Roadie Music
“Ville Kyttälä’s wind instruments provide a cradle for the arrangement, while the backing vocals expand the melody. The instrumental choice accompanies a composition about recognizing limits and accepting help when facing everything alone becomes impossible.” Music For All
