Juppe teams up with producer Ransukoira for a double helping of goodness.
Out via Soliti on the 1st March 2024
The ever evolving Juppe collaborates with producer Ransukoira to bring us two new slices of Juppe music. Hot on the heels of debut album Feeling Bad About Feeling Sad In The Happiest Country In The World and last years late lyrical whimsy of “Andy, I Have Your Lighter”, “Was it Good For You?” b/w “Zoot!” are a double whammy of progressive melodicism and intricate directness that picks up the baton and runs from Juppe’s previous releases.

On how the collaboration came about, Leo Mokkala (Ransukoira) tells us “Juppe and I met at a hipster bar terrace through our mutual friend Nestori. He told us we should do music together and we did. The end result was studio sessions with pop hybris and eclectic playfulness. Our common ground in sound seems to be 00’s nostalgia and beatz. These two tracks were the clearest pop hits of all the sessions we made when I was in Helsinki or Juppe was visiting me in Amsterdam.”
Juppe tells us more ”Leo really gave me the push and opportunity to give this solo thing a try and for that I’m very grateful! You never know what a meeting in the Helsinki nightlife can bring about. It’s been a pleasure working with him and I’m excited to finally share the results!”
