Pink Chameleons is a Helsinki-based, genre-blurring trio known for crafting a distinctive and atmospheric sound that draws from a wide range of influences. Their second album, Harmony, was released in early 2025 on the Soliti label.
The band is led by Paltsa-Kai Salama (Black Lizard), and also features Antti Sauli, along with their newest member, Hanna Perälä (Goo-Hags, Pölykuu, Henna Emilia Hietamäki). Pink Chameleons have released two full-length albums and built a reputation with their distinctive sound.
“We could say that we haven’t heard a psychedelic album this good in a long time, and it is true. But more than that, it is one of the more satisfying albums we have heard lately.” WYMA
“This is music to dream away to, unique in its atypical instrumentation that is used to optimum effect. Soothing but anything but boring.” Add To Wantlist
“A Hypnotic Psychedelic Journey Through Catchy Hooks and Modern Sonic Experimentation” Rmas
“”Wrong Future” is a further example of the band’s deep love of psych-rock’s hypnotic capabilities, but Pink Chameleons thrive with the challenge to make the genre relevant and modern.” Moochila
” …the cool-sounding Draggin’ On”” Christian’s Music Musings
“a fresh sound, lots of rhythm and dark touches.” Setlistmix
“The second album from Pink Chameleons digs more diligently into the holes of psychedelia than the band’s debut album” Ilkka
Harmony is “a must for all Kula Shaker, latter era Primal Scream and World Of Twist fans.” Janglepophub
“This is dirty, stupefying low-fi indie rock with sounds that twist and escape logic, leading us to an endless and confusingly addictive dream.” Sound & Vision
“The album has quite a rich sound world. Mellotron, electric sitar and the use of various effects such as tremolo contribute to the creation of hypnotic atmospheres” Soundi
“That organ is the glue that holds it all together in this altogether warm, fuzzy and fun tune.” (“Sunshine Honey”) Dagger Zine
“The album has a good heart and noble intentions” Desibeli
“”Harmony is an album that hits a groove and just doesn’t let go. The real stand out is the wonderful Rhythm Section, it just consumes you, complementing the laidback Psych Riffs and vocal. Harmony is an awesome captivating listen.” I Don’t Hear a Single
