Spotless Souls

Soliti is thrilled to introduce to the world Helsinki 4 piece band Spotless Souls.  The band – consisting of Alina Kolehmainen (vocals), Aarni Artemjeff (guitars), Onerva Rantanen (bass) and Luukas Niskanen (drums) – cut their teeth on the stages of the Finnish club scene.  Everything about Spotless Souls oozes sophistication and a grand sense of style. The young band (they’re all 19 years old) manage to meld classic 1980s indie sounds with a penchant for Northern Soul and dream pop soundscapes that sound very contemporary.

Debut single “In The Heat” instantly puts a line in the sand down for the unique interplay of style, melody, strong vocals and chiming guitars that so categorise Spotless Souls appeal.

Alina from Spotless Souls tells us of “In The Heat”
“”In The Heat” tells the story of two women who meet on the dance floor and feel an instant electrifying attraction to each other. It also describes this secret passage into an underground world that some would describe as a “freak show”, but on the contrary, here such a term is praised. A party that’s all about people, freedom and desire.”

“I like how they bring this kind of atmosphere to the second song, and how they even made the music video themselves. You can see the worldview they’re trying to convey. It’s also clear that they were influenced by Cocteau Twins and Mazzy Star.” Niche music
