The new Paola Suhonen directed video arrives in time for a SXSW appearance
The latest cut from New Silver Girl’s s/t debut album, ‘Love Is Like A Goldmine‘ works as a calling card for the kind of Urban rock n roll representative of the album as a whole. Produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) and recorded in Berlin’s famed Hansa studios, ‘Love Is Like A Goldmine‘ is released digitally on the 13th March, as NSG perform an acoustic show on the same day at this year’s SXSW Festival in Austin, USA.
‘Love Is Like A Goldmine’ come with a music video by Paola Suhonen, of which New Silver Girl frontman Olli Happonen tells us, “‘Love is Like a Goldmine’ presents the darker side of storytelling and of the artist’s repertoire. Influenced by the surrealism of Buñuel and Lorca and some swinging sixties rock and roll innocence, the song tells the tragic story of a small town boy trying to break free from the chains of his homelands.”
