A round-up of Soliti in 2025
2025 was another vintage year for Soliti.
Pink Chameleons released their clearest statement of their mega-psyche sound in the form of their 2nd album Harmony. A mixture of lean pop songs and expansive rumination that often went to dark places.
Knife Girl had unfinished business and a collaborative balm with the collection of tracks that made up CUM2. New waters are on the horizon for Lili Aslo as she waves goodbye to Knife Girl with this release.
Cats of Transnistria returned with IV – their first album in years. IV‘s sonic picture enhanced the Cats of Transnistria sound-world by introducing rhythms and bass as the band created their most immersive and deepest work yet.
Juppe showed us that we don’t need to take everything so seriously with his 2nd album Fun!And How To Have It. Juppe’s album was a patchwork of different styles backed by cohesive songwriting that hit hard with it’s scale and ambition aligned with his always wry/dry lyrical view.
Astrid Swan revisited her debut album Poverina – with some lost gems introduced. Poverina merely enhanced the sense that 20 years-on, the arrival of a serious artist had occurred all that time ago. And best of all, Poverina stands up to the scrutiny today.
New to Soliti, Spotless Souls released two beautiful songs full of youthful vigour and oozing with style. We’re excited for what the band brings us in 2026.
Another artist new to the label was Reetta Hotti‘s Longing Louisa with debut album Waterphile. Longing Louisa’s sonically adventurous debut touched our souls with it’s deep insights and atmospheres that dived head first into matters of the heart.
Finally, we had new music from the evergreen The New Tigers, two peaches to lift the spirits and guide us straight into what’s to come in 2026. You’ll find all this music below.
As always, a big thank you to the artists who make Soliti what it is and of course everyone who has supported the label this year. We love you. x

Soliti Album Releases 2025
Pink Chameleons: Harmony (Soliti 115) Release date : 31st January 2025
“Harmony was crafted at Altai Studios in Helsinki and completed at home. Altai Studios, owned by the band 22-Pistepirkko, is built in the cellar of a very old movie house. Harmony leans more into psychedelia than our more punk inspired debut album, 2021’s Peace and Love. The overall sound of Harmony is dominated by mellotron, hypnotic tremolo and electric sitar along with repetitive bass riffs and percussion” Paltsa-Kai Salama
“This is music to dream away to, unique in its atypical instrumentation that is used to optimum effect. Soothing but anything but boring.” Add To Wantlist
CUM 2 (Soliti 116) Release date 14th February.2025
“CUM 2 is the afterglow to the intensity of my 2023 album CUM. It consists of unreleased tracks that didn’t land on the original CUM, some remixes, a cover, and a “stripped” version. CUM 2 is my way of closing the CUM chapter of Knife Girl.” Lili Aslo.
“But there’s also a high-energy hedonism that feels part-inspired by the New York ballroom scene, overtly sexual and sensual, and very, very fierce.” Analogue Trash
Cats of Transnistria “IV” (Soliti 117) Release date: 21st March 2025
“We are very excited and proud to finally release new music. We were hibernating for a while, and after the pause it’s been very inspiring and fun to create something different together. The songs still sound distinctly like Cats of Transnistria, but the beats and the fuller production make a big difference to our previous albums. You can almost dance to some of the songs, although very, very slowly.” Henna Emilia Hietamäki
“It is heavy, dense, powerful, well-produced and wistfully beautiful.” HYMN
Astrid Swan – Poverina 20th Anniversary Edition (Soliti 118) Released 5th Sept. 2025.
“In 2005 I was 23-years old. It felt like realising my dream had taken a long time and I was now too old to be releasing my debut album in the spring. It was a big production, the most expensive album I have thus far made. I had a producer (Nick Triani), engineer (Jyrki Tuovinen, Triani), musicians and an arranger for the orchestral parts (Jimi Tenor). There was a combination of home spinning and a nice load of studio time in some of the best studios in the country. If Poverina was a film or a series of TV episodes, it would have been rich in characters and plot twists, but I trusted that everything was united by my storytelling songs, voice and piano.” Astrid Swan
“Timelessness, however, is a term that I now embrace and which I want to boldly use in connection with Poverina. I can honestly say that when I listen to these songs, I can’t place them in any specific period in the history of music. Two decades is at the same time a small eternity and a flash in the reels of a larger film. Swan’s first album has thus survived the test of time surprisingly intact.” Desibeli.net
Juppe: Fun! And How To Have It (Soliti 119)Release date: 19th September 2025
“Having fun* for me is all about allowing yourself to be playful. J. Huizinga and his Homo Ludens probably agree! Letting myself play was really the guiding thought for me through this album. I think this will be the foot I’ll keep putting forward in the future. These sort of “revelations” can easily sound kind of trite, but I think that’s the bedrock you need to build fancier stuff on haha.I suppose no one wants to buy greeting cards filled with Hegel quotes?
*Whether in love, art, games, sport, hieroglyphics, limnology… I think you get the idea.” Juppe
“Fun! And How to Have It is Jupe’s second album. While the first album had a lighter indie rock feel, the new album is bursting with colorful and bouncy rhythm music. If Juppe’s style were to be described using comparisons, it could be a mix of the psychedelic soul of Prince and Sly Stone and American lo-fi rock from three decades ago with a slight John Lennon twist.” HS

Longing Louisa: Waterphile (Soliti 120) Release date: 7th November 2025
“Waterphile album was made mainly in solitude. I quit my job, barely saw anyone, just used hours and hours playing and learning new stuff about sound synthesis etc, made notes, watched a hundred editorials from youtube, started to write Morning Pages, read books, went for long walks, listened to almost no other music than my demos since somehow I had no space for it in my head; Just completely dove into my own universe and stayed there for a year. I wanted to produce the album by myself, and it was such a joy doing it. I knew I wanted the piano to have an essential role in the album, and it feels right to have it as a companion in every song. But it felt so nice to also “dip into the synth pool” – I had so much fun experiencing it.” Reetta Hotti
“The album, made mostly alone, exudes underwater peace and simply beautiful, timelessly calm floating landscapes.”Kulttuuritoimitus
