“Woozy” arrives via Soliti on the 13th June 2025
Juppe releases his first new music of 2025 in the form of delicious new single “Woozy” – a paean to defiance in more trying times. All the Juppe core elements of sardonic yet heartfelt lyrics combined with a touching melody and refrain are present and correct on “Woozy” – but perhaps this goes a few steps further with a song that certainly stays stuck in the brain after a first listen. “Woozy” is pop music at its most inventive yet accessible, with a spirit of playfulness too. You’ll be singing the “Just kids with nothing to say” refrain till eternity, we promise.
“The whole thing was made in pretty much one afternoon!” Juppe explains “That’s how the best stuff gets made in my opinion. I didn’t have the money to spare for new strings, so the guitar on the track has only 2 or 3 strings on it. Fun stuff, a nightmare to try to figure out after the fact haha! Thematically I guess I’m reflecting on some of the better pandemic hang outs. Everything during and since then has been affected by general malaise and hopelessness. Nostalgia is a powerful drug.”

Initial Reaction
“Juppe bobs and weaves in between the notes, letting his voice crest and fall to maximize the playfulness.” Austin Town Hall
““Woozy” proves that sometimes the most profound statements emerge from admitting you have nothing profound to say. Juppe has created something that works as both time capsule and present-tense experience, capturing a specific moment while suggesting universal truths about friendship, boredom, and the strange comfort found in shared purposelessness.” B-Side Guys
“The soundscape and vibe of the song are effectively absorbing.” Lattialla (video review)
“Juppe, the best indie soul in Finland, releases a new summer hit” Rumba
“Playful and entertaining are the two words I would best use to describe Woozy by Juppe. The song starts and glides along with such ease that you just have to jump up and join in” We Love that Sound
“…it’s like, “Who’s looking forward to receiving a letter saying that they’ve released a new song?”” Niche Music
” Juppe ‘s “Woozy” is a quintessential morning song. It’s 2.10 minutes of pure good vibes” Zona Emergente
“…a sharp blend of lo-fi rock, indie rock and indie pop that balances raw edges with infectious melodies.” Rmas
“It’s an experimental pop track at heart thanks to the songs infectiously catchy side and its anxious energy.” Mix it all Up
“With “Woozy,” Juppe delivers pop that’s both mischievous and moving. True to his trademark—lyrics that are both cynical and tender, driven by a catchy melody—he takes the experience a step further.” Novorama
“The underlying synth-played melody could have been taken out of the 1990s British TV children’s series Teletubbies while the overall ambiance of the song is one of a fun band like Haircut 100 or its singer-cum-solo-artist Nick Heyward. And produced by Malcolm McLaren. If that doesn’t pique your interest, nothing will.” Nordic Music Central
“The vibrant style that will never let you escape is ready for you” Pop Punkers

Juppe released his debut album Feeling Bad About Feeling Sad In The Happiest Country In The World in September 2023. The album helped establish Juppe as a noticeable raconteur/singer/songwriter mixing organic 1970s band flavours and 1990s indie electronica. A series of one off releases have followed since. Juppe has been releasing music with different projects and bands since 2014. More music follows “Woozy” in 2025.
Some words about Juppe’s music
“Feeling bad…” is an exciting adventure into the wonderland of pop, with the rabbit hole being surprisingly deep and mirrors constantly acting as passageways.” Desibeli
”The Music is interesting, production catchy and surprising” – Soundi
“…the richness of the sound and development from every angle is interesting every time.” Niche Music
“Juppe, who makes the most original soul music in Finland” Rumba
“A mixture of deconstructed funk, post punk, and… of… an insolent happiness that explodes in our face, the Finnish musician Juppe, accompanied by a demented production reminds us that life is good in Finland with his latest title “Happiest Country In The World”!” Djolo
“…wait until the back half spins this distorted noise-skronk stomp; there’s no boundaries in the band’s songwriting, which is something that means a lot to me these days.” Austin Town Hall
“”Fade” just makes our day! It sounds like it sprang out of the funk scenes of Philadelphia or Detroit in the late ’60s or early ’70s.” WYMA
