Local Al releases ‘Arlesin talvi’ single – watch now

The last of Local Al’s EP trilogy – EP3 – is out November 15th

A new Local Al single ‘Arlesin talvi’ is released today (November 8th). ‘Arlesin talvi’ (The Winter of Arles) is a gentle, warm and fragile song from Local Al’s upcoming EP3 – the final installment of Local Al’s EP trilogy. The hazy and jazzy electro-acoustic pop song is the perfect sequel to the feeling and brooding single ‘Peilistä tuijottaa vanha mies’.

Arles is in southern France, near Marseille. It’s a small city filled with history and stories from the past and is part of the UNESCO world heritage project. In its history you can find Julius Caesar and the Romans, the biggest river delta in western Europe with horses and bulls, and of course, art. Vincent Van Gogh and Picasso spent one of their most prolific times in Arles. The city also stole Local Al’s heart, whilst on a honeymoon with his wife.

Some reaction to Local Al:
“Indie rock vaikuttaa puskevan takaisin pintaan pehmeän soundikakun sisältä ja hyvä niin, sillä Pahkala on kiistatta vahvuusalueellaan.” – desibeli.net
“Ihastuttavaa lofi-indietä tämä!” – Rumba
”Kannattaa tsekata miehen livemeininki, meno oli järisyttävän kovaa.” – Takahuone
“The man makes it clear: We should Enjoy life and celebrate with slightly angular and crooked indie pop hymns! Local Al is writing music for recalcitrant shrines and all those who want to become one!” –
